Volunteers play a vital role at Regent!

Volunteers make it possible for our players to keep playing!

We couldn’t do what we do without all of our amazing volunteers!

Volunteer / Team Staff Roles:

• Coach
• Assistant Coach
• Manager

We recommend 2-3 volunteers per team.

In accordance with the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) Risk Management Policy, all Regent "Team Staff" (volunteers, coaches, trainers, etc.) are required to complete the Risk Management Requirements.

The all-in-one registration and communication system that gives volunteer Coaches & Managers:

• The ability to manage their team via their PlayMetrics Team Page
• Schedules, rosters, practice/game attendance, etc. all in one place
• Team chat & email functions
• Calendar sync capability
• Access to drills and lesson plans within PlayMetrics
• Access to Club & team specific resources

Considerations:

1. Communication & Organization - important for a Manager

• How quickly do you read & respond to emails?
• Are you able to send frequent messages?
• Delegation of tasks - set up a snack schedule, score reporting, etc.
• Team Finances - some teams have additional fees (referee / tournament / coach fees) that managers collect from families to pay for team expenses

2. Organization on the field - important for a Coach

• Keeping track of practice & game schedules
• Running a practice
• Officiating a game
• Communication

3. Time Commitment / Availability

• Varys depending on age group and league
• Most teams practice 1-2 times during the week
• Games are scheduled on the weekends
