In order to be placed onto a Gold team, players must register through PlayMetrics (link above) and pay a $40 fee to hold their spot.

    • Once we have enough players to form a team, players will be invited to complete registration and payment (starting in mid-June).
    • Players are placed on teams first come, first served.
    • In the event that we do not have enough Gold players signed up to form a team in a particular age group by the end of May, players will be notified with their options.

We do take friend requests, school / grade, etc. into consideration whenever possible.

    • The roster size for 11U/12U is typically 11-13 players.
    • The roster size for 13U/14U is typically 16-18 players.

Teams are either co-ed or all girls

    11U & older co-ed teams are typically all-boys.

**As permitted by MAYSA, players born in 2011 (15U) AND entering 8th grade for the Fall 2025 school year can play on a 14U team in either the Gold or Blue program.

  • COACHING

Gold 11-14U teams are assigned an Age Group trainer.

    • Trainers will run a group training 1x per week with all teams in the age group.
    • Trainers will focus on footskills and technique - run drills and scrimmages

Regent also relies on parent volunteers to help coach and manage teams at this age.

In addition to the age group trainer, we suggest 2-3 volunteers per team.

    • No experience is necessary to coach or manage
    • Regent provides equipment (cones, ball bag, pinnies, game ball, flags) and a t-shirt!
    • Regent provides lesson plans, drills in PlayMetrics, as well as a guide to help volunteers throughout the season.
    • Volunteers can request when/where they practice for the volunteer-led practice.

Volunteers are required to upload a photo, complete a background check and SafeSport training (Risk Management).
