Regent High School Program (15U-19U)
Program Overview:
- HS Girls play Fall-only
- HS Boys play Spring-only
- No in-person tryout - players sign up first to indicate interest
- Teams play in the MAYSA League
- MAYSA League includes clubs up to to an hour away
- 11V11 Game Format
- Teams practice twice per week with a paid, licensed coach
- The HS program is two-sport and other activity friendly
- Games are on Saturday/Sunday against teams up to an hour away
- 8 games in the Fall; 8 games in the Spring
FEES
Please note: The fees listed below reflect the 2025/26 Playing Year.
Registration:
- $175 for half-year
HS Girls play Fall-only
HS Boys play Spring-only
Additional Fees:
- $120-$130 Uniforms
- $260 Team fees (includes coach and referee fees)
Team fees are paid directly to a coach/manager.
Optional Fees:
- Tournament fees (paid to a coach/manager)
Players should have their own size 5 ball.
Financial assistance is available for most programs through the Robin Carre Scholarship Fund.

TEAM FORMATION
Teams are formed based on Birth Year AND Grade.
- HS teams are not formed using an in-person tryout.
- Instead, players sign up first to indicate interest.
- Teams are formed and offers are sent based on the number of interested players.
HS GIRLS sign-up begins May 1st.
The deadline to sign up is June 28th.
Offers and registration take place in early July
HS BOYS sign-up begins October 1st.
The deadline to sign up is November 28th.
Offers and registration take place in early December.
UNIFORMS
More Uniform Info$120-$130 uniform kit from Soccer Post (formerly Stefans Soccer).
Uniform kit includes:
- Blue Jersey
- Yellow Jersey
- Shorts
- Socks
Players will receive an invite to order uniforms late June/early July.
Orders placed after the deadline are not guaranteed to arrive before the start of the season.
Uniforms are on a 2-year cycle.
- Fall 2024 was the start of a new cycle.
- Uniforms purchased for the Fall 2024 season will be used for 2 years.
- Players may order replacement pieces or additional items throughout the year.
PLAYERS SHOULD WEAR THE FOLLOWING GEAR TO EACH GAME:
- Regent blue/yellow jersey
- Soccer shorts
- Shin guards
- Soccer socks to cover shin guards
- Rounded cleats or athletic shoes
GAMEDAY INFO
MAYSA League - teams up to an hour away.
GAME FORMAT:
Games are on the weekends
Coaches should be on one side of the field with their team. All spectators should be on the opposite side. We discourage spectators from standing behind the goals during play.
15U & 16U
- 11V11 (10 plus a goalie)
- 2x 40-min HALVES
- Size 5 ball
17U - 19U
- 11V11 (10 plus a goalie)
- 2x 45-min HALVES
- Size 5 ball
RULES:
- Throw-ins
- Goal kicks & corner kicks
- Offsides
- No intentional heading allowed for 11U
- Headers allowed for 12U & older
- Punting allowed
Substitutions: Teams can sub on their own throw-in, either team’s goal kick or before kickoff (i.e., after a goal is scored)
- Players should line up at the half-field line and wait to be called in by the referee the next time a team is eligible to make a substitution

Regent's primary jersey color is BLUE; alternate jersey is YELLOW
When playing a team of the same color, it is the HOME team's responsibility to wear their alternate jersey
For Example: Regent VS Regent team; HOME team wears Yellow, AWAY team wears Blue
SEASON & SCHEDULE
The playing Year runs Fall to Spring
(8/1 - 7/31)
HS GIRLS - FALL Season Only: Late August - October
HS BOYS - SPRING Season Only: April - Early June
PRACTICES:
- Teams practice 2x per week
GAMES:
- Games are on the weekends
- 8 games in the Fall; 8 games in the Spring
- It is possible to have 2 games in one weekend
All practice & game schedules will be added to PlayMetrics when they are available.
- You can sync your PlayMetrics practice/game schedule to your phone's schedule if desired
Tournaments are optional and decided by the team.
COACHING
HS teams are assigned a licensed coach.
HS teams rely on parent volunteer managers.
HS teams have team fees that include coach and referee fees.
Team fees are collected by a coach/manager, who then pays the teams' expenses.
