Alliance Referee Meeting - Monday March 22 at 7pm at Verona Public Library

The meeting for Alliance referees will be held on Monday March 22 at 7pm at Verona Public Library (500 Silent St, Verona)The Alliance (Magic, Regent, Verona, Shorewood soccer clubs) is hosting a referee informational meeting on Monday, March 22nd, for licensed referees only. This is a replacement for the pizza party we have held in the past. Because all games are on the Arbiter now, no paper signup sheets will be available. You are welcome to bring a laptop and use the library’s free WiFi to access the internet and Arbiter site (http://www.arbitersports.com) while at the meeting.
Currently Licensed Soccer Referees wishing to officiate Rec-level games this spring for the Alliance Clubs should attend. We will go over:
- how to access the Arbiter
- how to sign up for games
- how to un-assign from a game
- how to contact coaches and managers to let them know you are reffing (we are not allowed to give out your contact information)
- how to record scores
- how the Alliance referee bonus works (what games count towards this, how much is bonus)
- do our best to answer any questions you have
Referees that are new to reffing should sign up for the U9/U10 games, leaving higher-level matches for higher level referees. If you have reffed more than a year, please do not sign up for these games.
Special Referee Shirts for Alliance in-house games to be provided. Bonuses to be paid by the Alliance vs the individual clubs -- further details available at the party.
At the end of the meeting (we should be done around or before 8:00 p.m.) a drawing will be held for the iPod Touch. You must be present to win. The winner will be announced. Once it is confirmed you are a certified referee, the iPod Touch will be delivered to you. It will not be given out at the meeting.
